trying not to judge the characters too much because they are 15/16 yrs old at best meaning that the immaturity and selfishness is embedded in their way of thinking, however i think in context of the book it would be better to actually see the consequences of their selfishness and have it stick rather than making a joke and having the friend group forgive them. (p.s. this book is just relationships w a side of film)
