I know I’ve been reading this book really slowly, but honestly, I’m being super critical about it, mainly because so many people love it, and for me, a lot of things just don’t make sense. I’m almost done with Book 3, and it's finally getting a bit more interesting. But with Book 2, I had zero motivation; I was reading like one chapter a day.

I just finished the first book, and for me, it was a 2 out of 5. Not bad, not good, just mid. Lana is way too perfect to feel real: smart, hot, deadly, flawless… exhausting. Logan was bland, and their insta-love? Absolutely no buildup. One coffee and eternal devotion? Be serious. The mystery had zero tension. I’m starting book two, but if it doesn’t improve, I’m out.
