~ My eyes have adjusted as much as they are going to - which means I can now tell the difference between ‘probably a tree’ and ‘might be a guy who wants to wear my skin like a Snuggie’. Progress. ~

Would be rude not to get some Halloween reads in during October.
So far, so good... I love a good inner monologue. 🤣

This series... it forever keeps me guessing, always has me on the edge of my seat and I am never right in what I think will happen next.

Thought I would try something different.
So far, I think I am liking it...

It felt like this would be a good October read.
I tried reading Grim previously, but couldn't get into it.
I am doing the audio this time, and now that I have got into the story, I am loving it.
The audio is incredible.
Not my usual kind of read - I don't usually do fantasy and paranormal, but this might be a game changer...

"Baby, I say this with love, and extremely limited confidence in whatever you're feeding me, but what the fuck is that? and why does it taste like this?"

I haven't laughed this much while reading in ages... OMG 🤣

Felt like a bit of a dark romance, rom-com and I must say this is definitely hitting the spot.
Getting my unhinged cackle on and loving it.

Can not get enough of this book.
Definitely worth the highly anticipated wait since Twisted Pawn.

"It wasn’t even eight in the morning and he’d already said more words than I exchanged with people I worked twelve hours a day with.
I shouldn’t have saved his ass."

I can already tell I am going to love this book as much as I love the rest of the series. The banter is on point, as always.
Thank you L. J. Shen!!

For a hot minute, I thought things might work out for her...
Then I was quickly reminded what series I was reading.

I wasn't sure how I was going to go with this one, after the 0.5 - 'Love & Lies Under the Mistletoe'.
I'm so glad I kept with it, because I am loving this book...

"...both noises orchestrated a melody so gruesomely beautiful that I stopped to smile at him. Was I not just a composer of words? I now invented music, too?
Crunch, crack. Crunch crack"

When characters finally get what they deserve...
