There’s a slump about 2/3 of the way through that I had the power through. I’m in the last chunk now, which is good, but I still feel resentful towards that slow, amorphous bit. It starts around Phil’s POV and then continues into Carmel. Then Nell shakes it off.

I’m speeding through! The pace is great, and the characters are endearing.
