2021 is truly the year of rereading old favourites and hurting myself in the process

I'm kind of glad I bought this as an ebook cause I certainly would have spontaneously bent and crinkled a few pages in delight by now
(I'm still gonna buy a physical copy as soon as I finish tho, cause I n e e d this on my shelves to look at adoringly)

this book is already off to a GREAT start and I haven't even started reading the actual story

Wow this chapter was such a complete and utter turn-off for me that I'm not looking forward to reading the rest of the book :/

this book drew me in from the first page and hasn't let go since. I'm not even halfway through but I'm already realising how incredibly important this novel is going to be and that I'm not gonna rate it any less than 5 stars

As if I didn't need more reason to stop reading and throw away this book, it just got transphobic as well. "Epic and enchanting", my ass. I'll finish it anyway but i'll rather eat this book than give it more than 2 stars

while reading this I found out how challenging it is to read a book discreetly when you're on public transport
