This book is horrible! John Douglas might have been an integral part in the behavioural science of the FBI, but he can’t write a good book, neither can he stop talking about himself.
If you want to read a well written and detailed book about BTK read Bind, Torture, Kill by Roy Wenzl. He is a reporter at the Wichita Eagle and therefore not only knows how to write well but also knows what he’s talking about.

you wouldn't suspect but i actually hate age gaps - but here i am reading another book with another age gap🥲 I've reached the point where i just try to read over it as much as i can and celebrate when the love interest is at least a tiny bit older than the other mcs kids. wow is this rock bottom yet?

Honestly, Camden is such an asshole. Vaughn tells him about his feelings and Camden just brushes him of. He is obviously into Vaughn and acts like it, he doesnt want anything serious but at the same time he doesn't want anything to change. For him it's just so comfortable meanwhile completely ignoring Vaughns feelings + how much he hurts him by that. Admittedly, this just hits a little bit to close to home.

He is calling them both Dad. i am literally sobbing 😭😭😭😭 this is so adorable ❤️‍🩹

Also i found the first healthy, non-red-flag interaction.

So I think it has to be made clear. Probably a third of this book is non-con. It's stalking, sexual asult and rape. If you force someone to orgasm although they keep telling you NO, it's fucking rape. If you are experiencing something like described in this book, this is not love, this is not your soul mate or whatever, it's abuse and absolutely WRONG.

Tristan is supposed to get Isolde for Mark (his step-uncle) to marry. Sounds familiar? Yes, me too. And I'm here for it.
i just feel it deep down in my guts that this is going to be a five-star-read. The writing style has me already on my knees.
