It's a great book, but not easy to get through for someone whose attention span is ever decreasing. Nevertheless, I ought to get behind this before the year is done.

Fun and choke-full of information, masterful narration without much of a bias. I thank the muses for inspiring Mr. Fry to write these books.

Quite an entertaining and somewhat light read. Was kind of unexpected, but the book has lots of references about Chinese culture and very frank description of the cultural revolution and Red Guards which I'm loving so far. The text isn't too cumbersome therefore everything reads very easily. No need to be daunted.

Started it because had some time to kill and in view of the current conflicts in Gaza, wanted to see how the people who were previously inhumanely persecuted have turned into the persecutors today.

We're going like at snail's pace. But it's going though? The next station is goddess Frigg.

As usual it's sooo good. I live for the mood in his works.

Took me ages to even get through the foreword. Though I'm glad I did, because without it my comprehension would've been even worse. For a person who knows nearly nothing of Indian culture, philosophy, names and terminologies this was an overly ambitious overtaking. Though I'm glad to note that I'm keeping up thus far.

Made some progress. Worth noting it down.

I've been reading this book for two years. I hope to finish it this time.
