I take back my previous issues with the birthday — apparently I am quick to assume the worst

Do people proofread books still? They just spent a lot of details explaining it’s Andrea’s birthday and the dead of summer and how no one is around Georgia because it’s too hot but also the storage unit number 120 is her birthday and that would make it easy to remember. I don’t know maybe this detail will resolve itself but this is the second book in a row that contradicted itself on a seemingly minor detail

Why is this a new trend to “hide” that books are in a series I hate it

As a childhood mental health therapist the opinions (because that’s exactly what it is—opinions not facts) in this book are damaging and harmful. Going to try to continue through it but I can feel my blood pressure rising at the continued vilification of the mental health industry

Listening to the audiobook… not sure what I expected his voice to sound like but it wasn’t that

I’m so sad. This book has so many undertones of superiority and judgement. I was so excited to learn more about njuta and ways to integrate it into my life, but so far the message I’m getting is “if you’re not able to get farm fresh and local foods or spend 3 hours a day savoring food or doing nothing but enjoying the moment, you’re doing life wrong”

Fat phobia, toxic masculinity, and just all around negative views of people & their work ethics. Disappointing and dangerous for this to allegedly be “inspiring”. Forcing myself to finish because of the short length & wanting to give him another chance to redeem himself but for every chance I give, he continues to go along the same path
