"Firstborn": An interesting take with an interesting twist but probably my least favorite so far. The ending felt a little cheap, and it is clear this is one of Sanderson's earlier works.
"Mitosis": Once again, I am met with terrible metaphors, but I like the idealistic determination common in YA.

"Perfect State": What a different twist on an interesting concept. I liked the main character the best.
"Probability Approaching Zero": Welp. Interesting concept but not my favorite of the stories. I was able to pick up on the gist without the post script, though.
"Defending Elysium": Again, a different take on a familiar trope.

"Brain Dump": Weird and a bit confusing.
"I Hate Dragons": An interesting, humorous story.
"Dreamer": Everyone is a horrible person. :/

"Snapshot": Asdfghjkl! What in the world, Brandon?! Why would you do that? Make me get attached to characters in 60 pages then pull the rug out from under me like that. Detective fiction that feels like Inception. I kept thinking I could figure out the twist. I did and I didn't. I want to go back and read it again.

Everybody is communicating with each other and having healthy conversations about how to deal with the bad guy? What? Oh, wait. Now there's secrets again. Nevermind.

I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I am. I may be on a gothic horror kick...

The content: think about the consequences of your actions.

"You're a grown man hiding from your mother in the bushes." Lol. I'm enjoying this writing style!

I wish I enjoyed this as much as I did book one, but I don't. :(

Far more anti-Christian than I was expecting but has an interesting writing style. Definitely a slow build.

It's been so long since I read the previous books that I can't remember who half of these characters are or what happened last. That's on me.

Nonspoiler: I really wanted to read about Gavilar's death from the perspective of his horse... Oh, well!

This book is so good! I'm not even halfway through, and I'm already considering getting a copy of my own.

An odd book. I like the nonlinear narrative!
