I had a couple friends with similar book tastes to me who really enjoyed this series. I wanted to like it too, and honestly the world building drew me in right away but there was no relief, everything was so tense and triggering. At this point in my life it’s just not for me. DNF

The beginning had me completely hooked, Irish folklore and magic in the earth combined with how to reveal that beauty within your own garden - I loved it. But about halfway through it just lost me. I tried for over a year to finish this book, never happened. I hate leaving things unfinished but there are too many other books I’m more passionate about to leave this one standing in my way.
