The convenience of other characters showing up to solve the protagonists’ problems is so disappointing. I’m not a fan of a damsel in distress and this is giving me those vibes… not what I envisioned for book two. I have been limping my way through the book thus far and have no idea if/when I’ll make it to the end. Here’s hoping I’m on the cusp of a plot twist or big reveal.
