Had to break because it’s been a while since I read a book by a man and I forgot how much I loathe how men write woman.

lol why did I think this book was going to be queer. In my mind it was WLW and I was so pumped. I should start reading summaries before starting books rather than just assume I know what I’m about to read.

Going into this I’ve seen extremely hyped up reviews and also some concerningly skeptical/negative reviews, all of which are vague, so I somehow don’t know the plot haha. Basically, I have no idea how this book will be.

For some reason I have it in my head that will be like Nimona but more adult? I adore the graphic novel Nimona so I’m excited!

Wholesome. Found family IS THE BEST.

DNF at 20% - I got this book from a book box but is not for me and I won’t be finishing it.

Honestly I’m not inretested in this plot at all… so it’s a DNF for me

Major Percy Jackson vibes, but with a different culture/pantheon. Cute.

Rereading this book for like the 4th time because it’s my comfort read and I’m very stressed with school right now. I need some fae and magic to make me feel better :)

Ashjklll this is soooo good. I adore Naomi Novik so much and highly encourage reading this along with their other works!
