IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS TO TESS ISTG!!!!!!!

I CANT PUT IT DOWN BUT I’M SOOOOO SLEEPY 😭😭😭 PLEASE LET TESS BE SAFE UNTIL CLARE GETS BACK

Unsurprisingly, still a fckng abominable trash

😫😫😫

THANK YOU IZZ!!

This is so stupid. He should be mad at Alec D’Urberville because of what he did to Tess!

Oh dear. Here goes…….

This is stressing me out! I wish Tess would just tell him the truth and get this over with 😭

End of 2nd phase.
Another tragedy has transpired.
Pray let it only be good things from here on!

The first part was so fckn stressful!!! 😭😭😭

😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣

“Surely… surely you don’t mean… that we shall never see each other again?… Surely this is not to be the end?”

“you see, at first you only wanted two words, and now…”

Riiiiight

“Oh obstrustive gentleman! How I blessed you at that moment”

Thanking a weirdo for giving you an opportunity to be hero to girl, who is possibly traumatized by the experience? 😫

it’s really becoming a challenge to read a male character written by a man. Although the author clearly wants to portray this to be a character with good intentions

“Though life is very glorious, it is difficult”

This reminded me of something very similar that I said to a friend who was going through a very devastating event and she felt so unmoored in life. We were both crying then I told her “I know life is very difficult, but it is also very joyful. You just have to fight through the hard parts but there are so many things that make life worth living for”

How can you be indignant when it’s so true

You’re just too guilty and defensive because Cecil’s estimation is so accurate 🤣

FINALLY

Mr. Beebe is the only kind person in here 😭🤣

I don’t agree that there’s no such thing as fate. There’s just so many variables in life that’s completely out of our control to say that everything is a result of our actions/decisions

“She gave two or three sighs, for the stooping posture hurt her back, and, for all her diplomacy, she felt that she was growing old”

Why can’t they just say directly what they mean

The titles ranging from plain “FOURTH CHAPTER” to “REVEREND ARTHUR BEEBE, THE REVEREND CUTHBERT EAGER, MR. EMERSON, MR. GEORGE EMERSON, MISS ELEANOR LAVISH, MISS CHARLOTTE BARTLETT, ANS MOSS LUCY HONEYCHURCH DRIVE OUT IN CARRIAGES TO SEE A VIEW; ITALIANS DRIVE THEM” is so 😭🤣

Oh no

It’s so difficult to read this

The language is one thing. But everyone just dreaming about a better life is so hearbreaking

Oh my gosh i’m so darn sleepy but I’m dying to know what will happen to the kids!!!

I’M SO FRUSTRATED

ONLY JONATHAN AND LENDON GOT THEIR WITS WITH THEM

At this point, I’m so frustrated with Nancy I want them to put her in jail just for being annoying

It’s obvious as a reader she’s innocent but the way she’s just digging her own grave make me want to handcuff her myself and put her into custody

“There were fine lines around those blue eyes, but you’d still never take her for thirty-two.”

When i already had fine lines around my eyes ever since my 20s??? Or even earlier 🤣

The writing and the characters are sooo annoying

😫😫😫 i’m this 🤏🏼 close to DNFing this
