I have been reading about the development of chaos theory. The book starts off talking about how scientists like Von Neumann thought complex systems Could easily be solved just by carefully studying the initial conditions and knowing the theory. However, Chaotic systems can often show wide divergence just by changing a few variables. Right now, I’m reading about the research of the meteorologist Lorenz.

Seems like a good start.

Amazing book, it really made me understand the inner machinations of computers in a way where it really made sense. I also like how he started from the fundamentals and developed each step subsequently on top of another.

Just read about Francesco Datini’s exploits running his partnership business empire in the 14th century.
