I’m not as miserable reading this book as I was at first, but I’m still not enjoying it. I mean, it’s not bad I guess, but I think it’s just not for me at all.

Well it’s easy to devise that Norma either is Ruthie or that Ruthie has gone through the exact same thing as Norma. I don’t know why people in the reviews act as this is not a simple conclusion?

I’m actually hating this book

I’m scared that this book is off to a good start but will go downhill as I progress through it because I’m rather enjoying it but based on reviews everyone says it’s bad? 😭

Very noble of her to go save her friend or whatever but I’d never play with destiny like that. She’s saving her friend while condemning two other people. In choosing to save one person, she’s punishing two, which makes her decision to save Mary Ann not altruistic and good but selfish and evil.
Each page makes me dislike Catherine more and more I swear to God (rhyme not intended)

Catherine is so ridiculous it’s almost pitiful

I don’t think I’ll be capable of giving this book 5 stars considering how passive Catherine is. Jesus Christ, she should rebel and run away from her house or something to really show it to her parents but she’s just being like waaaaa I don’t want to disappoint my parents who hate me

Well I read about Reva being transferred to work at the Twin Towers and COINCIDENTALLY I then checked what was the last page of the book to see how many pages I had left until I finished it just to read "9/11" on it so I honestly can’t believe this book will end with the main character's (what’s her name?) so-called best friend dying in a terrorist attack like what the hell is this book. I won’t even rate it

Going to take a little break to take a nap 😜

Reading this at the same time as just kids by patti smith really makes it sound not profound at all but I guess I’m only at the beginning so maybe I’m being too harsh
