Lol well this is one of the first times I've read a horror novel wherein the author absolutely spoils what could be a significant and impactful plot point before it happens.

Katniss' skull is bone all the way through for like half of what I've read so far, otherwise this book is pretty awesome.

I've noticed the writer seems to forget how he's described things in previous pages. I've consistently attributed it to perception of various characters but it is somewhat jarring. One moment a character is withering away, skin and bones and whatnot, the next she is the image of youth and beauty. The descriptions seem to fit whatever he is trying to convey at the time, continuity be damned.

so far so good. Interesting enough plot and worldbuilding. haven't quite seen the misogyny I've seen people complaining about, just one character that has made a horny comment. Could get worse, who knows?
