Oooooh yeah this is so whimsy and fantastical I’m loving it

I also just chatted with this young girl coming off the tram who was also reading this book as an audiobook, and chatted about her experience with dyslexia and how she related to Percy!! Her mum reads books to her every night, and she also just finished Harry Potter over summer. It was SO SWEET and WHOLESOME!

I keep forgetting that this book was written for late primary and early high school students because every time something gets explained again from the first book I get really irritated. Then I have to remind myself I am not the target demographic…and this literary device is actually of benefit to young readers.
