gonna be honest and say i agree with june on this one. authors can write about any history no matter what their background is as long as they stay true to the actual evidence and facts and don’t stereotype anything.

i think june should have just used athena’s death as a piece within her and kept writing her own original stories. stealing athena’s work is just unforgivable and i hope she gets outed

what a great introduction. i know the mc is supposed to be a jealous and bad person, but i LOVE flawed characters. until she does something like shockingly bad, which im sure she will in due time because thats the whole point of the book, i like her for now.

this book is brilliant. the depth of each backstory, the ways history can change a person, the different dynamics and how realistic the life is there in that village, and ettie just being my favorite character. i haven’t gotten to the point where ettie and joseph reveal their feelings, but the longing is what’s drawing me in the most. i wish this book was longer

the beginning was a breath of fresh air. after two very boring books, i’m actually intrigued. i always am in books like this.

is it okay for me to say that this book is so underwhelming and boring? there’s hardly any action, hera is just so boring as well there’s not a lot of depth besides what the author is showing the reader, and it’s just so hard to stay focused to the pages in general because of the format and how blocky the paragraphs are.
