Hmm. Is reading 173 books in less than 4 months too much?

I'm now thinking that I read too fast and probably didn't fully appreciate the stories. I barely remember some of the books I've read even though I enjoyed them at the time.

So, my resolution is to commit to reviewing each book I read moving forward. This way, I am forced to stop for a sec and reflect on the things that happened in the book. Good idea?

FINALLY!!! For so long I have been wanting to sync my Kindle Notes and Highlights here on Goodreads and it has finally become available for us here in my corner of the world. Yayyyy!

I recommended the Maura Quinn series to my sister. I hope she likes it!

Oh, good lawd. Scarlett now has her own POV chapter. I hate this.

I need more books where the FMC saves the MMC using her money/influence.

Ohhh, Cael. Who wouldn't want a hero who would disembowel someone for you?

I just knew that the big reveal, the all-important secret was going to be a disappointment. By the way everyone was talking in codes hinting about it and the way Kayla kept stressing I really thought it was going to be something dark and way more traumatic than what it actually was.

So far, I'm still confused why she's "living a double life" and trying to stay away from attention/spotlight. It feels to me like she's just being ott about the whole thing and it makes me like her less and less.

First of all, what's up with all these nickname initials - G, JT, E, D etc.? It's not cute, it's irritating.

Second, Idk but there's really something about this author's writing that doesn't jive with me. I feel like the characters are too trying hard to fit the profile.

I don't dislike Kayla, but I don't like her either. Mason is TBD.

"He taught me consensual sex could be incredible."

Gah. Maybe I'm too emotional right now but this line made me tear up. The context behind this statement is just so heartbreaking.

Is this worth reading? Because I'm already disappointed with the characters especially the female lead.

I am so freaking mad right now! Lachlan is an ASS and he still hasn't done anything that redeems him. In fact, he's continuously disrespecting her need for space from him. Sneaking into her suite and room when she locked the doors? Taking her towel and kissing her even though she has done nothing to suggest she'd be welcome to it? ARGGHHHH And this stupid KC is not doing anything to put him in his place.

Lachlan is unhinged, and not in a good way. I hate that KC is just letting him kiss her. Classic body betrayal syndrome.

Now, I remember why I don't reread this series. This book is so freaking heavy and frustrating. My heart is breaking from what Emma is going through at the same time it frustrates me that she's just taking it all. Maybe because I'm not the type of person who would just take the abuse. But I know I can't really judge because I've never been in her position. And I know that she's trying to endure it for her cousins.

I am feeling a Tijan book binge coming on. Hmmm...

Okay, I give up. I can't continue reading this.

It kept bugging me why the name "Mara Daniels" is so familiar so I had to google it. Now I remember that she's from Rich Prick and that she was the main guy's fuck buddy at the start of the book. He even had thoughts and compliments about her.

I admit, that kinda puts a dent on how much I want to read this book. I like the premise because it reminds me of Broken And Screwed but...

Finally figured out how to sync my Amazon/Kindle account to Goodreads. Ugh

Did I know this is RH when I started reading it? I don't think so. Because I totally did not expect what's going on in Chapter 11 right now!!! But yeah okay, I see why it would be hard to choose. So far, it's only Judge, Brody, and Walker in the picture (I saw from peeking at the reviews that there'll be more).

I'm just suddenly in the mood for Sylvia Day historicals.

I took a reading break because I was getting worried that the letters he was writing were for an ex and I really don't want to be reading about ex drama right now. I cheated and read the reviews on the book. Whew. Okay, I think I'll be fine.

I am so freaking bored. It tries soooo hard to be funny but I'm not laughing. 😕

Re-reading. I don't think I was able to fully appreciate it the first time I went through the series because I was still under the cloud/haze of book hangover from the All The Pretty Monsters series.

So far it's okay but for some reason I'm impatient. Looking at how many pages I still have left, I'm debating if it's worth it to finish the book.

Gahd I'm already dreading this book. I'm scared this one is gonna hurt so bad. Faking a relationship so the guy's ex/first love will be jealous? It's triggering some feels in me.

Am I reading a different book version than everybody else? Because no matter how I try to like this, I. JUST. CANT.

It feels very amateurish, too Wattpad-y. Ugh.

Where's the romance?!!

I thought the book was promising because the writing was an improvement from the last few books that I read. Unfortunately, it just crossed the line from mysterious to confusing.
