Okay, I'm stupid. I didn't realize that I needed to read The Legends of Thezmarr series first, so I'm putting this one on hold for now. I'm going to start the other series (mainly because I really want to know where the name "Bear slayer" came from), then restart this from the beginning. :)

Though I might should get my book club read out of the way since I only have 6 days before we meet next. Lol

This has been so good so far!

Still loving the series, but have a few issues with the last half of this final book.

1. I don't mind explicit sex scenes, but two back-to-back chapters of literally nothing but sex is just too much, imo.

2. This gives me "the ick". Possible spoiler depending on where you are on your PP journey...<spoiler> Auren is CONSTANTLY touching or stroking Slade with her ribbons. </spoiler>. It's creepy. *shudders*

UGH - I'm at 97% of the last book in this trilogy and just want to quit.

With so little left, I'll power through, but god I'm resenting it.

Finally picked up and I’m now greatly enjoying it!

Hoping something happens soon, as I’m 26% in and keep falling asleep….

This was fantastic, and now I have to go read everything Lawhon has ever written... I absolutely loved Martha, and after reading the acknowledgements at the end, would love to know more about the real Martha Ballard.
