It's a little cute, since this was written in 1992, but takes place in the 2050s, everyone still has a landline. With all the ridiculousness that comes with that: people have to tell others all the time, under which number they are available,when not in the office, and having to scribble down contacts on random pieces of paper, call telephone information services, etc... real retro futurism
