finally a book that i never not want to read. Despite the simple language, it is very slow to read, but that's because every single word is precise and shimmering like the edges of the mediterranean sea.

Still like the El's narrator voice, still like her dynamic with Orion, still love the worldbuilding & themes and how they are unseparable from each other... but oh my god, the constant exposition dumping is really grating. As this is the second entry in a fantasy trilogy, this should get less and less now, but it really doesn't
