Just started reading this bc local library bookclub picked it out. Then saw its but an another i already have read and loved, yay!

Suzanne Collins is amazing. This is my favorite book thus far. Not even finished and praying she’ll grace us with another in the future

Its really good so far! The title is accurate but like idk did not guve me the vibe of the book so i put off reading it for a while. I’m so glad I finally started!! Feels healing and peaceful

Plot isnt as driving as the first but the characters and writing are just as lovely!! I’m already bummed for my future self once i finish this series. Its the perfect mixture of murder mystery and light hearted comedy :)

Really had no idea what this was about before reading it. Such an interesting concept! The stity is definitely hooking me.

Just as good as the cirst so far! I’m finding myself actually slowing down the audiobook rather than speeding it up as I usually do so that I can give my full attention to every detail and every chosen word.

A wonderful series thus far. I’m already looking forward to the release of the next book :)

Im loving this book so far!

I hadnt been wanting to read much lately so I searched tiktok for new cozy book recc and this has done just the trick! Maybe I need to give fantasy another go.

I haven’t liked this as much as the first so far
1.) I love this narrator. However, in this book he read some of the lines is so different than I would that it’s almost shocking me out the story. The voice for the Phoenix sounds like an evil monster.
2.) I hate how Klune refers to the Phoenix as alien. I feel there are better words could’ve been chosen.

Nearly every twist and turn thus far has been obviously predictable. I have read 2 other of Klune’s books and have said he has one of the most eloquently beautiful yet easy to read narrative voices and that same beauty is not coming through in this book. Its hard to have empathy for robots wten the story abd robots themselves are saying they cannot experience emotion. Makes it unmotivating to read unfortunately.
