I’m lost as to why people dislike chaol…. He’s literally just a sad yearning man who happens to be brought up in a horrible system and unwittingly realizes how bad his part is in it…. I don’t think he should be slandered for this as much as he is. Unless something big happens with him I will go to bat for him.

I really do not like how this female author keeps referring to gay men as “the twinks not even trying to be discreet” or “gorgeous twink” in description of characters… it feels kinda odd and like it’s pushing a limit because it comes off as kind of internalized homophobia and it’s not a good tone
