Really, really liking this anthology so far! If you like storms and seas, I definitely think you should back the Kickstarter happening right now.

I can see why this character would rub people wrong. She does irk me a little. But one thing you can’t deny: the character voice is strong. Really strong.
This love triangle thing? Not sure about it.

I’ve heard mixed opinions about this one, so we’ll see…

Suprisingly, this book has grown on me.

So far, so good...

Not entirely sure how I feel about this right now because I don’t full understand the world building, the Italian names are throwing me for a loop, and I don’t really feel I can root for any character except Gianpolo. But I’m not going to dnf because things are still very interesting, and the romance is fun.

“I’m probably wrong for saying this, but I thought it was awesome, and I’m glad you hit him. Guys don’t seem to defend a lady’s honor any more these days.”

Yeah, hiding the king and queen’s deaths for several months should raise lots of flags.

“I had not seen that in my effort to give him perfection I had blinded him from the need for salvation. What thought for God had he save that it be his father’s religion? And when”—his voice curled with disgust—“has religion ever saved a soul?”

“Of course it was,” she said, arching her neck and glancing back with a fanged grin. “Freedom is terrifying.”


I love this wise, terrible creature that is The Daisha 😂

“So you’ve escaped. How? After all this time, how?”
“The sewers were my idea,” Kelm offered.
“We nearly drowned in the river,” Tellie recalled with a shiver.
“I met them in the forest,” Tryss said.
“I tripped him in the street,” Zizain added helpfully.

This just makes me giggle lol.
