I'm having a hard time grasping the meaning of these incredible poems. Lots of words that I think I understand their meaning. So after looking up a few of these words, "antiphon" "balefire" "elegy" I decided to just let the poems wash over me like rain and not concern myself with meaning. Two minutes later I'm googling another word I think I might know. Haha.

I have paused this book since I learned it was the fourth book in the series and I've only read the first two.

I returned this to the library unfinished. I may try it again later. I got about half way through. :P

Question for any Gathering of Shadows book fans: After reading the first two Gathering of Shadows books, I was excited to see The Threads book in stock at my local book store. I snapped it up thinking it was #3 in the Shadows series. So, should I NOT read this before the #3 Shadows?

Poetry that is thoroughly modern with a sardonic edge. So far...

70 % in. Such a great story. Very tense.

I'm on page 70 of 262 pages. Fascinating read so far. Not something I would've grabbed off the bookshelf but that is why getting books as gifts is so intriguing and eye opening.

I cannot find this book. We moved and I put it somewhere but where? I want to finish this and have searched high and low in our new home, to no avail. Moving can wreak havoc on many things in our life, including our reading :D

This book is not what I expected. It is quite repetitive. That said I've certainly learned quite a bit about the Jewish religion and the various bible tombs of the Christians. Still, it is quite boring. I am considering a DNF. I may just SPTF. You may not know what that means because I just made it up myself. Skip Paragraphs To Finish.

This is an interesting read but i am a bit disappointed that female poets are missing. Less than five have been featured thus far and I have lost faith there will be any additions.
