yo this book is kind of wack. I’m very intrigued but it’s fucking weird. I think it would make a really good like psychological horror movie.

I’ve been avoiding packing and cleaning so I sat down and read damn near this whole book in one sitting… it’s good, nothing crazy but fun and sexy

y’all this is what I needed. An easy read that’s fun and goofy and sexy and I don’t have to keep track of a bunch of fucking politics and continent names.

I needed a little break from fantasy. And as much as it shocks me I needed a little break from slow burn enemies to lovers too. I just feel like I read lowkey the same book like 5 times and this is fun and funny and not about an impending war and subsequent end of the world

okay so I started this one bc I was not feeling brimstone and unfortunately this is just not very good. Simply just very mediocre writing and the plot is all over the place

you know when you’re reading a book and you like need to know what happens but don’t want the book to ever end and just cant stop reading? yeah that’s not happening here. kind of ready for this book to end but I’m in this far🤷‍♀️

I can’t tell if I’m just like really tired and reading a fantasy book requires too much attention at this point or if this book is just losing me

also like Jesus these people can not catch a fucking break god damn

you know it’s good but I’m just not like hooked as much as I was with the first one

hmmmm this is scratching the post ACOTAR / Crescent City itch I needed it to but that doesn’t mean it’s great. I am loving the Fae / vampire crossover tho.

Also way spicier than any SJM book which I’m loving but also the spicy scenes sometimes don’t make sense…

so you know when a book is like kind of meh for most of it and like the last hundred pages are a whirlwind? This series is kind of like that. First two are meh but this one is wild, maybe not great but I’m hooked

okay so far better than the others, I literally can’t put it down. Whether that’s because it’s actually better or because I actually like some of the characters now whose to say

look I know I’m at that point that everything needs to go wrong for the plot but I feel like these people just keep making really bad decisions without any plan and then either shit goes horribly wrong or something just flat out lucky happens

Idk how much I enjoy the writing of this book but I gotta know what happens

Idk y’all I am mostly enjoying reading this but I think I either don’t like any of the characters or just feel like I don’t know the characters at all which I definitely should after over a thousand pages

god I can already tell that some of this book is going to piss me off so bad

Also I am still kind of confused about the structure of power and politics in this series bc I can not keep track of who is in charge of who and what the rules are if this world (both magic and culture rules)

So I was kind of struggling to get into this one and completely forgot to update Goodreads so just know that I did not sit down and read the 500 pages of this book. The world building in this one is TOUGH at the beginning, I had to look up a spoiler free guide bc I was getting so confused. But once I got into the book a little I got hooked and now I am loving it

Reading this book kind of feels like cracking my chest open. It makes you acutely aware of that fear all women carry and the rage that comes with it. This book creates such visceral emotions in me I feel like tipsy after reading it sometimes.

I can already tell I love this book. It’s the kind of book that makes you feel alive.

This is the first rom com series I’ve read in a long time that focuses on just one couple throughout multiple books and I’m not sure how I’m feeling about it. It’s much more thriller/slasher than rom com with a side of serial killer

I like want to know what happens but I’m also not sure if I like… care? I think I’m gonna be really into it in once I get further in but at the moment… I’m not sure about this one

Did I finish the first book and immediately look for this book because I just had to know what happened? Yes

It’s very good but so far I don’t know if I like it as much as the first one

idk man… it has ready over explained so much. The first 50 pages are very important to me in a romance and this is not giving me much hope
