I am shocked by how much I’m liking this honestly. My working theory is that Stephen King writing is only enjoyable when you’re actually rooting for the main character! (Unlike in Misery, where the main character is horribly unlikable)

As expected, an insane amount of exposition. I’m enjoying it though!

Reveal after reveal! Every 5 seconds I’m thinking “ohhhhh so that’s how this all connects”

I already teared up once, we’re in for a ride

I love that he saw how tributes were treated and said “yesss more of this! Looove using food as a weapon of war” Also am loving seeing the parallels between Lucy and Katniss

Very weird having just read another book with a character named Wolf

Gag after gag

I love a character reunion

Not as good as cinder but still really enjoying it & glad that the storylines are all interwoven/ chronological so I don’t have to think too hard

This is so fun (and predictable but who cares)

This feels like watching a juicy reality tv show (in a good way)
