So dry... I may not finish this.

I didn't plan to read this but started while I was supposed to be cataloging it and have gotten sucked into the traditional "haunted house with a haunted doll" story that 5th grade me would have adored.

Oh god, I know why this book was so hard to find. It's so bad. It reads like middle grade fanfic. I'm giving it a little more before I put it down but I'm almost embarrassed to do so.

Started last night, addicting

A reread from my teenage years and it’s just as bad as I remember. Did this woman not have an editor? Run-on sentences galore, and ellipses everywhere… like I’m thinking… they even end sentences…

For a random ebook from the “available now” shelf, it’s not half bad.

I have lost count of how many times a girl has thrown up in this book. Any time they get too upset, they’re vomiting somewhere.

SO DATED. I'm having a hard time getting into the dystopian world when parts of their technology is behind 2023.

This book is soo slow. I’m just rage reading now because I want to know if it becomes worth the effort.

Wow does this sentence rub me the wrong way. “Like many young Navajos, he was torn between the lore and culture passed down to him by his parents and grandparents and the rational scientism he had picked up in Anglo-run schools.” Way to say the Navajo believe aren’t rational. This may become a dnf.

Please, enough with the designer names of what people are wearing. We get it, they’re rich. It’s annoying and distracting.

Fun little cozy mystery! Scratched my historical fiction itch.

Some things never change- like this quite still holds true.

Why has nobody gotten this main character therapy yet?

As a Romanov buff I expected to hate this but it’s not terrible!

This book has one of the most wicked main characters I’ve read in a long time…

Used to check this out from the library as a 13-14yo… let’s see if it’s anything like what I remember.

Who recommended this to me? I’m not sure what I think of it so far.
