Not very thrilling so far

Gramma is what people think Hereditary is. Talk about terrifying.

Idk how much I'm enjoying these. They feel a bit juvenile.

The first two stories certainly have painted vivid settings and unnerving tones but I think both could've been a tad longer. Especially the title story Muckross Abbey. I loved the Abbey when I visited Ireland and I wanted the grounds to be explored so much more.

The Mist- Loved! And fantastic narration
Here There Be Tygers- Not much to comment on. Hated the narrator.
The Monkey- hated but had a few eerie moments
Cain Rose Up- hated and now I'm not enjoying picking this back up

Will Patton's vocal performance of The Mist is incredible. Especially how he voices Mrs. Carmody.

I couldn't care less about these characters and nothing is fucking happening. This is definitely not a thriller.

Is this about to get all Lyle? I need fucking something to happen at this point.

The narrators are annoying me.

I've been picking this up on occasion but it's never really held my interest for long. I do find the writing is flowing better now. I'll give it another 5 percent and decide if it's genuinely pulling me in or if I should just watch the show instead.

Am I off base here or do other modern readers perceive Anne's dad as gay?

Starting my Feb non fiction pick on the last day of the month.........better late than never.

I think I need a break from contemporary fiction.

Never heard of this but reading it for a book club.
