I really don’t know if it’s me or I keep choosing the wrong fiction books, but 99% of them just do absolutely nothing for me.

My skip-the-line copy expired so on pause this goes. Very slow so far, but captivating in its own way.

I’m only this far in and I’ve lost count how many times I’ve mentally and physically rolled my eyes

The ‘zebra’ thing? Wtf??? Is the author trying to make us hate the MC and her husband cause they are…. This book is not going well for me!

Are we supposed to like Mireille and Michael? Cause lord their relationship seems insufferable.

It seems like I'm not in as much of a reading slump as I thought; all it took was picking me up a great (so far) book about my favourite musician and one of her best albums

Nothing worse than going into a book expecting it to be a new fave and it flopperinos

I don’t know how a book went from being touching and making me cry, to me grimacing from dislike!!

Only this far in and it’s already managed to make me shed a few tears… this book gonna kill me

This is putting me into a reading slump. Something with how it’s written is not clicking with me. I suppose it’s because of the sense of detachment and the repetitiveness of how information is laid out. I also find the amount of politics and history written in is boring me to the max. Yes the goth scene does have political parts to it, but not this much.

So far a bit of a bore fest? I feel like there’s so much information I legitimately feel is not necessary. I’m not sure, but it’s not what I had in mind when I picked this up.

Instalust 🙄 This is going to be a tough to get through

I am rereading this series in anticipation of the third book’s release, and I so glad I am because it’s making me appreciate these books so much more. Can’t believe I’m reading a fantasy romance book that actually deals with politics and moral issues (in a realistic manner to add to that), and not just covering up an erotica novel. Love this so much

The absolute pain I am feeling right now because of Death… why do immortal men have to be so insufferable and creepy

This book is blowing my mind about the contradictions within the scene, whilst also making me feel quite sad because of them
