Probably 80% of this is going over my head but the parts that I do understand are eerie.

This book is majorly hyped but I'm finished with Part One and still having a hard time getting into it...

I know I complained about the audiobook narrator for Lysander from the last book, but this one is worse. I let it slide that the last one pronounced Roque wrong, but I can't abide mispronouncing Cassius. Come on bro!

I did not mean to take such a long break from this series and I’m so happy to be back with Darrow, Sevro, Mustang, Victra, the Howlers, the Sons of Ares, and the rest of our gang, as well as apparently meeting some new friends ❤️ The revolution/rebellion vibes are very much needed right now.

The way I would DIE for any one of these characters already… Becky Chambers knows who to write characters who have your heart from the start

Seriously considering taking a day off of work to finish this because it's super annoying that life/adulting/responsibilities keep getting in the way and all I want to do is finish! I can't keep staying up until 1am because I can't put it down!

Finished with Part One. Going to take a break for a bit and step away to finish some other reads!

Okay I am making very slow progress on this book and that is deliberate because I want to SAVOR it. I love falling asleep to the podcast but now I’m learning so much reading about these civilizations. I am loving every minute of this in the nerdiest way possible. So interesting!! 🤓

This one is on pause because my Libby hold ran out and I have to wait for it to become available again!

Okay I just started the audiobook and the woman's voice is so annoying I'm going to have to switch to the physical copy

I’m having a hard time getting into it. I was promised pirates and adventure but so far all I’m getting is God/prayer/piety and that’s putting me off. I’ll give it a bit more but not sure if I’ll finish this one…

I've been on a big boat kick recently and falling asleep to oceanliner videos on YouTube every night so this seems like the perfect time for this book

Currently about 1/3 through and struggling to see how this is so highly rated & awarded. If you're going to write a story about about a feminist heroine, it might help to make her at least minimally competent. But so far all I've seen is Kaikeyi misunderstand literally every conversation/social interaction she's in. I'm sorry but is she actually stupid??? I'm not a DNF type person but god I hope this gets better...

Gonna have to put this one on pause and go check out a physical copy from the library because the narrator for the audiobook is unbearable. The reading is so awkward and completely takes away from the story.

I've been on a haunted house kick lately!

I’m almost halfway through and debating whether to even finish. Is Sam the stupidest scientist to ever exist? He supposedly helped build a time machine but doesn’t even know the difference between an insect and arachnid? Now he’s spear fishing and just remembered that he needs to aim a little differently because of light refraction?? I’m getting super annoyed with this lazy writing…
