I have only read the introduction and preface so take this with a grain of salt. But from these alone, I think I will differ from Boersma on my reading of Nyssen, and will align with Behr. I have some concerns on how Boersma approached the concept (seems like he was hunting for anagogy) but we will see.

I have some quibbles regarding the implications of throwing “mere” in front of whatever we want.

This is phenomenal, so far. IMO this outdoes his Trinitarian Dogmatics, but that might because I enjoy christology more than trinitarianism (as a field of study).

Continues to be good. Interesting how the chapter on sacraments only has the 2 (baptism and Eucharist) and not the full string of RC sacraments. Also page 114 “Without asceticism, the human person remains within the prison of ego and enslaved himself to the empty promises of the world.”

Really incredible so far (aside from the stuff about baptizing babies on page 44)

Still a really good book

Re-reading, actually making notes. Reader beware, you have to read with nuance. Kreeft asks questions that may alarm you, but when you understand his point of view it makes sense.
