so happy alice oseman is finally addressing this weird dependency that nick and charlie have on eachother. i’ve grown as the comics have come out and their reliance on eachother is so so tremendously unhealthy (which has really turned me off from the comics/characters + show) but i suppose at least maybe there’ll be some resolution to that in this volume?? i hope??

unfortunately i (and everyone else) have been in the BIGGEST reading slump this summer but i need to finish books this week (and i owe a review on netgalley that i must write) okay okay

this week ill finish heartstopper and ill read spellstruck and we shall see if that pulls me out of my reading slump!!’

anyway stop hating on corny books such as exhibit a, this one. sometimes they’re great. this is a great book.

i get so invested in this world every time i enter it and the characters are so loveable. the conflict is low-intensity enough that it’s not stressful either.

such an easy read, and a page turner at that. so immature and goofy but something about that’s very comforting to my tremendously anxious brain at the moment. i can’t believe this is the fuxking book i’ve been reading all day. how do you tell someone you haven’t texted them back because you’re so nervous that you’ve spent all day reading a book about a 16 y/o gay boy who sends emails? that’s my ted talk

for context i read this for the first time in eighth grade, then watched the movie which i loved so so much. it isn’t exactly like the book which is usually a huge pet peeve for me but it was so great in its own way. i’m so excited to reread

fun little reread because i found this at savers for like $2 and realized i haven’t read a gay book this pride, which just feels inherently homophobic?
