DNF at 52%

Does it ... get better?
I see a lot of comments say the last 20-30% is where it picks up but .. do I want to waste more than half the book to read a few pages at the end? I'm ready to DNF it.

Ms. Shea! If you're reading this, please let me be your new proofreader! I love love this series but the amount of typos I have found so far is crazy.

I hate doing this when it's a NetGalley book, but Iust DNF this one. I got about 56% through and I am struggling. The characters are very difficult to get in touch with. I don't care for cheating in books, and I did not enjoy the astrology parts as much as I thought I would.

Well, Lucinda. You really have a way of making people feel uncomfortable in your stories. I can't put the dang book down.

I know I'm only halfway so I have no idea where this is headed, but I swear if the twist at the end is similar to Will Dean's 'The Last One' I'm gonna be upset, lol.

Gahh yay, thank you Netgalley again! I've been with you and Briar since the first book on the app. So excited to get started on this one.

DNF at 52%. I kept waiting for something hoping the two stories would cohesively come together with a twist and it's just too slow for me.

I can't do it. DNF at 17%.

I'm disappointed I'm the number of typos in this book. I didn't see any in the previous books but I've found at least 4 so far and I'm not even halfway.

I'm listening to the audiobook on Spotify and I think it's why I'm not able to get into this one. I see so many great reviews and sure this book is creepy but the narration I think is ruining it for me.

You know... At first I thought perhaps Gabe was faking his death and leaving her clues to find him. Now my suspicions have fully turned over to Cole. I don't think Jeff did it, he almost seems like he's leading Malik elsewhere.

Uh oh... do we have a new love interested forming with Haircut?

I have to know.... to anyone that's read the book. Can someone tell me when <spoiler>Reid gets his memories back? I'm tired of him fighting everyone lol.</spoiler>

Is it me, or is it difficult to keep track of all the characters? The book moves around so much from person to person.

Chapter 7. I understand why the new POVs, and it's nice to hear Greys side but I'm a little bummed there are no chapters this book with Rhen and Harper's POV.

I'm putting my guess in now for the killer.
<spoiler>I think Stewart Lord broke into the bakery and put poison in the rum, thinking Sam would drink it. But. Sam ended up putting the rum in the cinnamon rolls, and then giving those to Stewart Lord when he forced Sam to, ultimately killing himself.</spoiler>

DNFing at 8%. I now know what Long Bright River means and this is not a book I want to keep reading about.
