Meh

I’m Giving up at 25%. It’s obvious the storyline is going nowhere, and philosophical thought is scarce. The prose is pretty, but that’s just not enough to sustain a novel. It could have been a pretty good short story though.

It started out great, but has become a bit of a slog. So, at 30% of a 500 page book, I quit. There are too many engaging reads out there to spend my time just “trying to finish” books filled with overgrown mulberry bushes.

I’m giving up. It started out so well, but has been devolving for the last several chapters. I tried to keep reading because the “mystery” about their baby had me hooked. Haven’t even met the baby yet - 75% through the book. Just how many times can we go over the same events? I quit caring and I’m moving on....
