this book should be read in a week

Not what I thought it would b about lol but I did learn a lot about democracy and constitutions.

Biggest thing I took from this is that there is a double meaning to “public freedom”. The first is actually private freedom that is protected by the state (how we do things now), and the second is freedom to engage fully in public affairs - suffrage, government, economic decisions etc.

no translations for the Greek, Latin, and French peppered in

this book is like flights, books of Jacob, and drive ur plow (where those books are really just not that similar).

this book is literally bible

so special to read wish I was there when it came out but also so grateful to live in a post silent spring world
