Neuromancer (Sprawl, #1)
The mood of this reminds me so much of the finder series by carla speed mcneil. Its so deeply complex that it will also take me very long to read. I didnt realize this my first time around reading this, so im enjoying dissecting the world slowly this time.

Neuromancer (Sprawl, #1)
“The Jarre was decorated in a dated, nameless style from the previous century, an uneasy blend of Japanese traditional and pale Milanese plastics, but everything seemed to wear a subtle film, as though the bad nerves of a million customers had somehow attacked the mirrors and the once glossy plastics, leaving each surface fogged with something that could never be wiped away.”
The attention to detail unparallel

F.C. Yee does a good job of capturing the same kind of fun and witty humor of the original show. Looking forward to the rest of the book!!

I borrowed this book breifly from a friend at the beach when i foolishly forgot to bring smth to read. I was hooked from the first few pages! It’s finally made its way back to me, & what a beautiful reunion it’s been! My only regret is that i didnt just buy it from the start, because i have a feeling this is a book i need in my own collection.

After finishing brigands & breadknives, i decided i wanted a little refresher on the prequel! I love that baldree gives orcs & dwarves- characters almost always delegated to the flat side character / villain- their main character moments!!!

I started this manga bc I wanted something similar to akira, but so far it doesn’t have the same dreamy quality… we’ll see how the rest of the series is.

The Elephant Vanishes
Although i was super bored by this book in the beginning, im starting to see it for its quiet horrors & haunting motifs. Ive always felt terrified of the mundane & the ordinary; murakami is has done a great job of writing stories that capture the essance of this feeling for me.
An unexpectedly great read (so far) to send me into spooky season!
So far Sleep is my favorite.

‘Good,’ said Ogion. ‘Now you know it. Better now they never. But you will be my master in the end,”(138).

I picked this up at a mini library in a cafe, and was holding myself back from tears by the end of the preface. So unexpected. I’m very excited to finish the rest of this book!
