I am rolling my eyes so hard at this book. Does it get better?

This book is a gem. Also...I want to be like Sarah and Sally Clarkson when I grow up! :)

Reading this with a dear friend of mine. Though I do not ascribe to the Catholic tradition, I have deep respect for my Catholic brethren and know there's lots of wisdom to glean from them, plus I enjoyed the biography of St. Catherine by Sigrid Undset—so I've gotten to know St. Catherine a bit already, and look forward to continuing on that journey.

This book is hard to put down! Alas, I have evening plans but, once I’m home, I might be compelled to stay up late tonight in order to come to the conclusion.

This book remains pure delight

Why read one Sarah Clarkson book when you can read two? I’ve been saving this book for when I need help seeing God’s beauty amidst the pain and suffering of our world. And here I am, ready to receive Sarah’s gracious and gentle words of wisdom concerning the topic of theodicy.

Coupling this with my Bible readings.

This is such a comforting book to re-read. I already love books about books, but couple that with Sarah Clarkson’s rich, gracious writing style and deep Christian themes, and you have one of my favorite books.

Bonus: she is my book twin and all her reading recommendations are top tier.

I can not adequately express how excited I am to read this book! I was devastated when I finished the first book in the series only to realize that I'd have to wait a couple of weeks for the 2nd one to come in from my library—which it just did!

Nothing sounds quite so good as curling up with this book and a cup of warm tea later this evening.

Goudge is on her way to becoming one of my favorite authors.

I am basking in Goudge’s writing. So beautiful.
