Felt it had a slight dip around 50% but then it picked up well again

Something about this book really makes you feel the cold. It’s brilliant.

It’s a very interesting topic and should come with a huge ”Dead Dove - Do Not Eat” sticker for those moron’s who’s ingesting something while reading, despite the books title. It’s me. I’m the moron. It was just tea but it was bad enough.

Think I read over 200 pages today?? Best reading day in forever. If not for the hours spent cooking I would’ve finished it

Been hacking away at it between life and fics. The reread is very needed before Rule of Wolves.

Was hoping to finish it today but got distracted.

Hahahaha the last chapter can be summed up as ”rich Stockholmare shitting on Småland’s pride to save their own skin and Smålänningarna is having none of it”.

Stockholmare: these emeralds are useless, we focus on ArTttttt (and we want the cash they sold for).
Småland: you insult our Christina Nilsson and her emeralds??? JAIL FOR STOCKHOLMARE, JAIL FOR A THOUSAND YEARS!!!!

After a months and months and months long hiatus I picked it up again in the hopes that a nonfiction book would help with my reading slump. And it did! Onto the last woman’s life now, Mary Jane.

And surprise smut! Jokes on me for thinking all smut was in the extra chapters.

Surprise gore!

Pushing myself to try and finish it next month as I’m in a good reading spurt with this book rn. We’re finally at Nightless City aka the most heartbreaking part and probably where the novel deviates most from the drama. But first, more work 😪

It’s so good. imo best book in the trilogy this far.

Finished part one. Off to read fluffy fics to clear my mind.
