So far, really liking it

The devastation is real.

I was so naive in thinking that this wouldn’t hurt as bad as binding and keeping 13.

It feels so good to read a book by an Indian author and seeing your day to day struggles on page, connecting you to your own culture and country. My biggest goal for this year was to read more books by Indian authors because lately I feel like I’m having trouble relating to the western literature. Maybe it’s because I’ve grown out of it and want to reconnect to my own culture or whatever but it feels good.

So far, the writing feels almost like visiting a museum… I don’t know if it makes sense but all the characters feel like art pieces that we are getting to know piece by piece. Very interesting.

So far? I’m loving it! Definitely matches the tone of people we meet on vacation, not as heavy as the other Emily Henry books.

So far, really liking it. All the nuisances of human life have been captured so well in this book. As far as the main plot line goes, I don’t think it has a definite structure. The story very much feels like “no plot, just vibes” and I’m here for it.

The kind of magic that gives me butterflies and keeps me hooked. I’ve finally discovered what kind of fantasy piques my interest. Reading slump is coming to an end 🥹

It’s a soft dnf, I’ll come back to it when I feel like I’m ready for a different version of the hunger games but right now it’s impacting my reading experience in a negative way.

Hmm… I don’t know how do I feel about this one 🤷🏻‍♀️ there definitely are moments in here that have me giggling and smiling but it’s proving to be a slog to get through. I’m afraid I’m in a reading slump now 🙃

It dragged so much in the beginning but now I’m a little bit invested but that can be just because I’ve already spent so much time on it.

Plot is goofy, the writing is clunky and it’s giving me a headache 🙂 who said this book was good????
