I'm not sure why this book has been so popular for a long time. I'm about a third through it and it's starting to drag and I'm losing interest. It's a totally supernatural world that (for me) takes a lot of mental work to keep track of the characters and setting. There are a few good, thought-provoking spiritual insights, but not enough to make me want to keep going.
