so midway update. don’t love auren in this book (and slade being so willing to have sex with her right after she wakes up reallllyyyyy bothered me/icked me out) but i do find her backstory interesting! i think queen malina is an idiot. uh… the rissa plot is okay but unnecessary imo, and the way it’s being handled so far is kind of making me side eye it. feels heavy handed atp but we’ll see.
