Oh no. On page 2 it lists "self-important entertainer/developer Donald Trump" on a list of immediately recognizable assholes (also Silvio Berlusconi, Hugo Chavez, Simon Cowell, and Mel Gibson). The book was published in 2012. Simpler times.

Because this book has 800 stupidly named characters and a plotline that requires a Master's Degree in fantasy history, I read the recap. It was 3% of the whole 800-page book and took me 15 minutes to read. And I still don't get it. Maybe I'm dumb, y'all.

So far, this book is much worse than the first. I do not like the writing and the plot so far has just been people telling each other about the past for the first third of the book. It has started to pick up slightly, and the first book took a long time, so I hope this picks up as well.

I guess this is a kids' book, but it's Brando Sando, so here we go.

Re-reading this so that I can add it as an option for AP next year. Used to teach it to 9th graders, but it has sat unused in the book room for a decade.
