just finished two chapters of Kazi POV and i like her tone and voice. i haven’t read in awhile so it took me a bit longer to adjust to all the fantasy names, but i’m getting the hang of it.

starting new POV of Jase now. i’m not typically a fan of first-person POV switching, but if i like the characters enough it’s ok!

time will tell with these characters.

still getting used to reading male POVs but I actually like Mushka (grumpy old man) and there was a few other side POVs sprinkled in that i didn’t hate. new perspectives are nice if i’m ever going to write my own book anyways

i’m reading a book with a MAN as the main character, who’s proud of me?

just ordered two new books from the library and updated my TBR list!! this year, i plan to branch out from smut/fantasy (still great tho) and read different types of fiction that discuss history, gender, culture, etc. i’m very excited to expand my mind, but will definitely take fantasy/smut breaks between these heavier topics hehe

also, i was going to read The Atlas Complex (last of the trilogy) but returned it to the library for my sanity. I hated the second one too much lmfao i was mad for days after finishing it.

immaculate dialogue by Aelin per usual. i wish it would be mainly her POV and less switching

this may be too soon to announce but i adore Aedion especially his POV

i need the story to pick up faster and with the same POV for more than one chapter ugh

i was sad that i had to read a chaol POV but it was short and followed by a Dorian feature so it’s fine, patiently awaiting more calaena per usual

i’m really struggling getting into this book. the only reason i’ve got this far is because i force myself to read 10 pages a day.

a lot is being set up to happen, but it’s starting to get good finally. i’ll probably go back and read assassin’s blade after this (it’s recommended to read that before but i didn’t)

i love celaena though and she makes it worth getting through. and i like manon so far

with the king being so bad, i don’t see why chaol is always to adamant to save his kingdom. its actually an ick

i feel so bad for Chaol bc i love him sm. but i get why everything has to unfold this way. forgiven but not forgotten.
