I usually cry a lot when I read books. But this one makes me feel numb with all the emotions that it digs up in me, the way I relate to it and the realizations it hits me with. That numbness is an even more terrifying feeling than bawling my eyes out.

Almost there... almost there....

I am now finally only one hundred pages short of finishing One Hundred Years of Solitude. Let's see how many more Arcadios and Aurelianos it has left in it.

When my friend recommended this book to me, he told me it was one of his favourite reads but the names can get confusing. And I was like, how confusing could names get, I'm smart. Meanwhile here I am, not even halfway through the book and I've lost count of the Aurelianos and Arcadios.

I feel like this book is gonna take me forever to finish but if I pause and read something else in between I might not come back and honestly I don't even want to pause. So its gonna be forever until my next read.
