Cashmere > Recent Status Updates

While the writing style is wonderful, I'm finding the characters rather hard to like. The main character starts out being rather unlikeable, then he becomes easier to relate to as the book goes on. Now the love interest isn't particularly likeable, especially after his assumptions about their relationship.

I'm not overly keen on this version of Tam Lin as it seems to remove the theme of Tam Lin's fear of being paid as a tithe and Janet's pregnancy, which is a key part of the story. It also heavily leans on a predatory story element when, originally, Tam Lin would either take a possession from them or their virginity. This version takes a lot of Janet's agency away.
