the characterisation is chefs kiss. also the audiobook really enhances each character and the general sense of manic, so would highly recommend listening.

very very slowwww. listening on audiobook and I keep zoning out and then 5 new characters are introduced and 10 new side plots so I have to go back and relisten and concentrate. but relistening doesn’t even clarify who’s who and what’s happening. also this is not a thriller but more police procedural. if this was a tv show it’d be one of those shitty western police dramas.
