initial thoughts: i did think it was going to be a hard read but it’s so interesting! what a weird idea but i’m excited to keep reading

“if the weight of mortality does not grow lighter, does it at least get more familiar?” such a beautiful way to sit with the idea of life and death. in a situation where you are facing death head on, is it possible to grow familiar with it? as opposed to the regular contemplation of our own mortality without any fear of a sooner death. how does perspective change as we get closer to that point?

what the hell am i reading. a woman shows up on your front porch basically dead so you nurse her back to health and decide “i know what i’ll do, i’m going to marry her” like whattttt. adam get your head out of your ass what is wrong with you. and then after they get married she knocks him out with sleeping medicine so she can go sleep in his brothers bed. i’m at a loss
