This is going to be a deep study, not a quick read. It has taken me 2 weeks to get through the introduction and first chapter. Reading, understanding and applying take time.

I'm on page 392 of volume IV.

We always love the Christmas stories in these books!

I did not understand the electoral college as intended by the constitution before reading this little book, and after the media coverage of this last election it is clear that America does not understand it! Every citizen should read these 55 pages!

"And if Christ had not risen from the dead, or have broken the bands of death, that the grave should have no victory, and that death should have no sting, there could have been no resurrection."

We are using this book to learn animals, geography, and new vocabulary. It is organized by types of animals. (Primates, hooves, mammals of the water, etc. ) We will finish primates the next time we read. This was a request from my 5 year old and 9 year old. They are both enjoying it more than I anticipated. I expected them to tire of the details, but they both ask a TON of questions.

Finally have another copy from the library. This is not a quick read for me. I am learning, pondering, and taking notes. i spotted ahead and read the section on education. Now I need to backtrack and read what I skipped.

This is a little old for my two young ones, but they sit and listen to each story, and I am loving it!

fun favorites for me, some new stories for my children. This is a good collection. I like that he gives the country of origin of some of the lesser known stories.

I am so excited to read this book with my kids! I have never read it - one of those classics that I have wanted to read forever! Just never got around to it. We just finished the first chapter. I love the writing style.

You know you have a winner and both children call time in this book (and the experiments) their favorite part of the day!! :0)

This is a perfect book for preschoolers. They learn to count to 10 AND add and subtract within 10.

Still loving it. Even when I read 2 pages sometimes I find myself tearing up. It really is inspiring.

It is slow because it is too heavy to read while I am feeding the baby! But I LOVE it. I get about 2 pages a day LOL. President Monson's life, even as a child, is very inspiring.

I'm pleasantly surprised...after knights of the round table (BORING!) Lancelot and Guenevere are not my favorite part.

I'm having a little trouble with sincerity of this author...but I will give it more of a shot than 10 pages.
