it feels like people in the past tasted a kind of luxury we can’t even fully picture living in our times where almost everything is mass produced and unoriginal. technology is great but it always feels a bit flimsy knowing how dependent we’ve become on it. what if the internet up and disappears one day, are u willing to travel infinite miles on a horse back battling the elements of nature to deliver it?

had high hopes but its causing me physical pain (not in a good way) to progress past the first half of this book. the concept had so much potential and was waiting for some profound wisdom to drop but *crickets*. feels like reading random unrelated stories thrown together in exhaustive detail.
